Privacy Policy

Clicking Nook LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) builds and operates mobile applications available through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what we do with it.
The short version: we collect as little as possible, we don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising.
What We Collect
Data You Provide
When you create an account in one of our apps, we collect the information you give us — typically an email address. Some apps may store content you create (recipes you save, items you track, etc.) to sync across your devices.
Data We Collect Automatically
We may automatically collect:
- Device information: Device model, operating system version, and a unique device identifier for crash reporting.
- Usage data: Which features you use and how often, so we can understand what works and what doesn’t. This is aggregate, not individual-level surveillance.
- Crash reports: When something breaks, we get a technical report so we can fix it.
Data We Don’t Collect
We don’t collect:
- Your location
- Your contacts
- Your photos (unless the app’s core function requires camera access, which we’ll explain clearly)
- Anything from other apps on your device
How We Use Your Data
We use what we collect to:
- Make the app work (syncing your data, authenticating your account)
- Fix bugs and crashes
- Understand which features are useful so we can build better ones
- Send you important updates about the app (not marketing — you can opt into that separately)
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not build profiles of you.
Third-Party Services
Our apps may use these third-party services:
- Convex — for backend data storage and sync. Your app data is stored on Convex’s infrastructure. See Convex’s Privacy Policy.
- Apple / Google — for app distribution, payments, and subscriptions. When you purchase a subscription, payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your credit card number.
- Analytics — we may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand app usage. If we do, we’ll choose tools that don’t track you across apps or sell your data.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers provided by our infrastructure partners. We use industry-standard security practices — encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews.
That said, no system is perfectly secure. We do our best, but we can’t guarantee absolute security. If we ever discover a breach that affects your data, we’ll notify you promptly.
Data Retention
We keep your data as long as you have an active account. If you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days. Some anonymized, aggregate data (like “X% of users use this feature”) may be retained indefinitely because it can’t be traced back to you.
Your Rights
You can:
- Access your data — ask us what we have, and we’ll tell you.
- Export your data — request a copy of your data in a standard format.
- Delete your data — delete your account and we’ll remove your data.
- Correct your data — if something’s wrong, let us know and we’ll fix it.

Children’s Privacy
Our apps are not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our apps evolve. When we make significant changes, we’ll notify you through the app or by email. For minor updates, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
