Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 25, 2026
The short version: the Between Visits app doesn’t collect any data. Your health information is read and stored only on your iPhone, and we never receive it. If you join the waitlist on this website, we keep your email address so we can tell you when the app is ready.
This policy covers the Between Visits iPhone app and its pages at clickingnook.com/between-visits. Both are operated by Clicking Nook LLC (“we,” “us”), a company based in Oklahoma, USA.
The app
Apple Health data
With your permission, Between Visits uses Apple Health to:
- Read the symptoms you’ve logged, the medications you choose to share, and those medications’ dose log (taken, skipped, or not logged).
- Write the symptoms you log in the app, so they stay with the rest of your health records.
This happens entirely on your iPhone to show your Today screen and build your summary. The data is never sent to us or anyone else. We don’t use Apple Health data for advertising or marketing, we don’t sell it, and we don’t store it in iCloud. You can change what Between Visits can see at any time in the Health app or in Settings › Privacy & Security › Health.
What the app keeps on your iPhone
A few things live in the app’s private storage on your iPhone, not in Apple Health: notes you add to a symptom, symptoms you create yourself, and which symptoms you picked as quick buttons. This storage is protected while your iPhone is locked and is left out of iCloud and computer backups, so it doesn’t move to a new phone. Delete it any time in the app under Settings › Delete app data, or by deleting the app. Deleting app data doesn’t touch Apple Health.
Your summaries
The one-page PDF is created on your iPhone. It only goes where you send it — for example by printing, AirDrop, or email from the share sheet. Once you share it, the recipient’s own privacy practices apply.
What the app doesn’t do
- No account or sign-in.
- No analytics, advertising, or tracking, and no third-party code that collects data.
- No servers: the app doesn’t send your data over the internet.
If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. That sharing is controlled by you and handled by Apple.
Purchases
Any purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details.
The website waitlist
If you join the Between Visits waitlist on this website, we collect:
- Your email address.
- Which app’s waitlist you joined, and when.
- An optional referral tag from the link you followed (for example “reddit”), so we know where people hear about us.
- A one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, used only to block spam signups. It can’t be turned back into your IP address, and we delete it within about 24 hours.
We use your email only to tell you when Between Visits is available — including an invite to test it early — and we won’t email you about anything else unless you ask. Every email has an unsubscribe link. We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
The waitlist is stored with Convex, our database provider, and this website is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs. We don’t sell or share your email.
Your choices
To see, correct, or delete your waitlist email, write to privacy@clickingnook.com. We honor these requests wherever you live. Because the app keeps your health information only on your iPhone, you control it directly there.
Children
Between Visits isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has joined the waitlist, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Security
Keeping health data on your device is our main safeguard. The waitlist is sent over encrypted connections and stored by our provider with encryption at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we collect as little as possible so there’s little to lose.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change affects what the app collects, we’ll say so in the app before it takes effect.
